nobody believe me, but my first memory was Christmas when I was 18 months?
My mom told me we didn’t even own a camera so no pictures to freshen my memory. My sister opened a perfume pretty barbie doll, and I tore open a doll baby. I wanted her doll, about 20 years later…I got it. How come nobody believes me. I remember the light coming through the window, I remember how my sister looked and what she was wearing. I also remember my brother running around with a gi joe. Why doesn’t my family not believe me except for my Dad?
I believe you. I had this picture in my head of being in a field of violets with my aunt & we were laughing. Last year, in my other aunts scrapbook-there we were! In black & white-I couldn’t have been more than 18 months. I can also remember reaching out my arms to my grandfather from Mothers arms & her saying “Here-you take her & see what you can do with her!”so I know I was very little. Some people remember things early-I think mostly happy things! You can’t MAKE some people believe, because they have no early recollections. Still, I am cautious what I say around little ones-you never know!
